When you are on a road trip and a driver, there is something special about opening the first beer. Hot day, long kilometers behind… and the first sip of refreshing cold beer. On our first day the driver was Samuli, my little brother. And how happy he was after the first sip…
Lahden Sininen (Lahti Blue) was originally brewed by Mallasjuoma brewery, but is nowadays produced by Hartwall (the company bought Mallasjuoma brewery 1988). The production was closed down on 1997, but was relaunched 2008.
The beer itself was malty, crisp and refreshing and very lightly hopped. Quite good for a commercial lager, but nada especial.
